TNT provides complete mechanical engineering services for the design of bulk materials handling equipment. Belt conveyors and feeders are designed using the latest computer software technology providing accurate calculations of key design parameters such as power, tension and other loading conditions, to ensure optimal selection of mechanical components. Specialties include bin and hopper design, machine and shaft engineering, and equipment propulsion systems. TNT also utilizes state of the art design technology for dynamic analysis and horizontal curve design.
TNT's electrical engineers not only design our electrical systems, but also assemble and test critical components such as control panels and MCCs in our facility. This results in a seamless transition from design to supply, ensuring that these systems can be quickly installed and commissioned in the field.
Many bulk materials handling projects involve some structurally complex outdoor elevated conveyors and transfer structures, especially under windy conditions and in high seismic regions. We employ sophisticated structural finite element analysis technology to develop design of critical conveyor gallery and bent structures.
Mobile conveyors entail additional dynamic loading imparted to equipment and structures that must be carefully considered for long term reliability. For our Super Portable® conveyors, we employ sophisticated computer modeling to ensure performance under abusive conditions.
