Company Timeline
1997
Terra Nova Technologies Inc. (TNT) established in San Diego, USA to design and supply heap leach stacking systems and crushing plants to the mining industry. TNT is awarded its first gold heap leach equipment in Peru within first year of inception.
1998
TNT mobilises the world’s first mobile high-angle conveyor system, at a copper mine in Mexico, designed to elevate 2,500 TPH of Copper Ore to the next stacking lift.
1999
TNT supply the world’s first Super Portable® Conveyor in Peru and patent the technology.
2000
TNT design and supply the largest valley fill heap leach pad and associated stacking system at a copper mine in Peru.
2003
TNT design, supply and install a 3-stage crushing plant, high angled conveyor, overland conveyors and a 1000t/h heap leach system at a gold & silver mine in Mexico.
2005
TNT design and supply several overland conveyors and a gold heap leach stacking system to projects in Turkey, for a Canadian gold producer.
2006
TNT supply the world’s largest multiple lift heap leach stacking system using Super Portables® at a large open pit copper mine in Arizona (USA) designed at 7,200 t/h.
2008
TNT builds its second large scale Super Portable® heap leach system in Chile, becoming the largest multi-lift heap leach stacking system in the world at 8,500 t/h and spanning a 1.8km pad with 27 units in series.
2009
TNT adapt the Super Portable® technology from heap leach stacking and apply it to dry tail stacking, installing the first dual, fully redundant (100% availability), Super Portable® dry stack tailing system in Saudi Arabia at 1,425 t/h capacity.
2011
TNT supply a system comprising over 16km of overland conveyors and modular transfer stations to a major Iron Ore producer in the Pilbara, Western Australia as a turn-key lump sum package. All fabrications are modularised for fast track of on-site assembly to meet the client’s ambitious schedule.
2012
TNT design and supply the complete material handling systems for the world’s largest HPGR at a large copper mine in Arizona, USA at 65,000 tonnes per day.
2013
After an industry wide technology challenge, TNT is chosen to develop elements of the MMM (Mass Mining Method) Truckless Mining System at the largest copper mine in Chile. TNT developed a 20,000 t/h inclined relocatable out of pit conveyor bristling with innovation and new technologies. The project selected TNT’s Super Portable® technology to interface between the mobile shovel fed sizing station and the TNT out of pit conveyor.
2014
TNT design and supply its first agglomeration drums at a gold project in Burkina Faso, introducing this new product into our range of propriety heap leach product offerings.
2015
TNT open an office in Santiago, Chile to better service its customers in the vastly expanding South American and Latin American markets.
2016
TNT supply a full turn-key EPC Gyratory Crushing Station at a large open pit copper mine in Chile. It was the first modular station of its kind in South America designed to crush 6,250 tonnes of copper ore and convey via a 3km overland conveyor and stacker head to the ROM stockpile.
2017
TNT install an on-off pad and waste ripios Heap Leach Stacking solution for extreme cold weather conditions in Siberia. Designed for year-round operation, with temperatures from -55° to +35° C, it is considered to operate at the coldest conditions known for a heap leach system worldwide.
2019
Cementation acquire TNT to expand its material handling offerings both underground and above surface to align strategy and resources with the Murray & Roberts Mining Platform globally.
2020
Supply of TNT’s first underground crushing and conveying system in Neves Corvo, Portugal, complete with a ramp conveying system and all surface materials handling systems.
2021
TNT open an office in Perth, Australia to better support customers in Australia and the Asia Pacific Region and are almost immediately awarded gold heap leach and dry tails stacking equipment for two separate projects.
