In 2016 the Bissa gold mine in Burkina Faso was expanded with the launch of a heap leach operation at the nearby Bouly deposit. TNT designed and supplied an 18’-8" x 50’ agglomeration drum, 48” x 2,630’ long overland conveyor, mobile tripper with 54” x 35’ cross conveyor, and 48” mobile stacking system. This was the second agglomeration drum supplied by TNT.
The mobile stacking equipment for the new 1,700 mt/h operation comprises 23 portable conveyors: a series of twenty 125’ “grasshopper” style portable conveyors, a 98’ Horizontal Feed Conveyor, 140’ Horizontal Conveyor, and a 120’ Radial Stacker with 20’ telescoping stinger.
This system added to TNT’s project experience in the region, which includes the world’s first commercial-scale uranium heap leach stacking system in neighboring Niger.
