TNT was responsible for design, supply and erection of an in-plant crushing and conveying system at this mine, including primary, secondary, and tertiary crushing/screening, stockpile, reclaim, dust control, lime system and overland conveyors, as well as a 1,053 mt/h, 36” heap leach stacking system. The mobile stacking system comprises eight Ramp Portables, four Standard Portables, a Horizontal Feed Conveyor, Horizontal Conveyor and Radial Stacker.
After Pan American Silver acquired the mine’s original owner, TNT was contracted to upgrade the stacking system TNT supplied in 2007 in support of new leach pad operations to begin in 2013. TNT’s scope for these upgrades included a new power distribution system and overland conveyor modifications. TNT also prepared a comprehensive stacking plan study for current and future operations.
In 2015, TNT salvaged, relocated/reinstalled (with a new motor and mechanical modifications), and restarted a 36"x444’ long section of an overland conveyor previously supplied by TNT.
