Commercial production at Cerro Colorado began in 1994 using mobile stacking equipment, leaching and electrowinning to produce copper cathodes.

In 2004, TNT’s patented Super Portable® technology was applied to the design and supply of a 2,400 t/h, 42” x 200’ Radial Stacker for the lixiviation zone. The Super Portable technology allows fully independent movement of pieces of mobile conveying equipment on the stacking pad.

Seven years later, Cerro Colorado entered a new phase of stacking with an expansion to its stacking area, fed by an existing overland conveyor. TNT supported this expansion by designing and supplying a mobile tripper with cross conveyor, as well as a Horizontal Conveyor and new Radial Stacker with Super Portable technology.
